Private Banks

Kiran Dhavale

What is your view on private banks? Should I invest in SBI ?

- Anmol S.

Editor Responds:

As a sound practice, one should always construct a diversified portfolio. Definitely, private banks should be a part of a well-diversified portfolio. Select private banks can form at least 10 per cent of a diversified portfolio. Yes, SBI can also be included in the portfolio, and in our view, it can constitute 2 to 3 per cent of your total equity portfolio.
