Bull Party On D-Street

The Indian markets witnessed a non-stop rally till the closing session. Indices saw a good amount of recovery in today’s trading session. After Auto sector, stock prices of Bankex, Capital Goods and Metals also showed some positive trend and provided a massive amount of strength to the indices. As a result, Nifty went up by 104 points at 6779 and Sensex closed 351 points higher at 22628.

The advance-decline ratio on NSE was on the positive side, as the day ended with 1960 shares in green and 1420 shares in the red zone.

Top Nifty Gainers: HIndalco gained 4.43% in today’s trade, followed by Tata Motors, Ambuja Cement, Jindal Steel and ICICI Bank.

Top Nifty Losers: HDFC Bank closed the day lower by 1.00%, followed by United Spirits, Power Grid Corp and NMDC.

All the sectoral indices closed on a positive note. Auto and Bankex witnessed rally by 297 points and 255 points respectively. Metals, Capital Goods and IT also saw an upward movement of more than 150 points each. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps witnessed some positive trade, went up by 100 points each. 

All the major Asian markets closed the day on a positive note. Hang Seng closed up by 64 points, whereas Taiwan Index closed up by 20 points. Nikkei and Shanghai Composite closed in the negative territory.

Buzzer: Hindalco was up by more than 4% on the bourses today and closed near the technical level of Rs 140. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 150/155 mark in the next few sessions.

Nifty Futures closed around the technical level of 6800, indicating a positive move ahead.
