Sensex, Nifty At New High, IT Recovers
The Indian markets witnessed trade in small range while at the closing buzz its ends at highest level. Today a part from bankex, IT also saw good recovery from its vital support level. The Nifty index ended up by 22 points at 7913 and Sensex closed up by 59 points at 26419.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was on the negative side as the day ended with 1731 shares in green and 1878 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: Tech Mahindra gained 3.63% in today’s trade, followed by Hindalco, HCL Tech, SBI and Bank Of Baroda.
Top Nifty Losers: Coal India closed the day lower by 2.03%, followed by HDFC, BPCL, Bharti Airtel and Ambuja Cement.
Most of the sectoral indices closed on a positive note. IT and Bankex witnessed good up move more than 150 points each. Metals, Auto and Capital Goods also saw positive momentum. However sectors like FMCG, Consumer Durables and oil & Gas remain in negative territory.
All the major Asian markets closed the day on a mixed note. Hang Seng closed up by 118 points, whereas Taiwan Index and KOSPI Index closed up by 126 points and 12 points respectively. However Nikkei closed in the negative territory.
Buzzer: Tech Mahindra was up by more than 3.00% on the bourses today and closed near the technical level of Rs 2300. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 2325/2340 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty Future sustain above technical level of 7900. Going ahead, sentiment may remains bullish.
