Indices Reclaim, Rel Capital Surges By 10 per cent

The Indian stock markets witnessed handsome recovery session in today’s trade. All the sectoral indices were closed in positive note. The Auto Ancillaries stocks like Exide Industries and Bosch were outperformers of the day, and the Auto index was up by 238 points. Capital Goods index shown good up moves by 216 points. The Nifty was up by 76 points and closed at 8776 level, while Sensex was up by 271 points and closed at 28930 level.

The advance-decline ratio on NSE was on a positive side, as the day ended with 1645 shares in green and 1236 shares in the red zone.  

Top Nifty Gainers: Cairn India closed the day higher by 4.56 per cent, followed Sesa Sterlite, NTPC, Hindalco and DLF.

Top Nifty Losers: Tech Mahindra closed the day lower by 2.21 per cent, followed by M&M, Coal India, Bajaj Auto and Dr Reddys Labs.

The sectoral indices were positive in today’s session. Auto and Capital Goods emerged as a strong outperformer and was up by more than 200 points. While Healthcare and Consumer Durables stocks also were positive, and were up around 150 points each. Bankex, Metals, Mid-Caps and Small-Caps index also showed handsome recovery, and were up around 100 points each.  

Most the Asian markets were ended with positive scenario. Nikkei saw upward momentum by 267 points. Hang Seng and Taiwan market too were up by 70 points each. However, KOSPI and Straits Times index were closed in the red territory.  

Buzzer: Reliance Capital was up by more than 10 per cent on the bourses today and closed at the technical level of around Rs 480. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch Rs 520/540 mark in the next few sessions.

The Nifty futures took a vital support around 8750 mark, and closed above the technical level of 8800. Going ahead, if it holds 8800 level, it may see more up moves.
