Automobile companies June Sales

Automobile sector saw a robust growth in sales in month of June 2015 compared to June 2014. All automobile companies witnessed robust growth in export in month of June 2015. The major Maruti Suzuki India sales grew by 6 per cent to 114756 units in June 2015 on yearly basis. Tata Motors export growth was great with 32 per cent increment to 5047 units in June 2015 compared to previous fiscal. TVS motors total sales increased by 8 per cent to 222099 units in June 2015 on yearly basis. Eicher Motors total sales boosted by 47.58 per cent to 37341 units in June 2015 on yearly basis. Bajaj Auto's total sales increased by 10.64 per cent to 487391 units in June 2015 compared to same period in previous financial year. However, Total sales of Mahindra and Mahindra decreased by 6 per cent to 36134 units in June 2015 on yearly basis.

Maruti Suzuki India

Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) started quarter with a growth of 13.8 per cent on yearly basis in sales to 341329 units in Q1FY16. The company's export rose by 21.8 per cent to 35635 units and domestic sales increased by 13 per cent to 305694 units in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. Its Dzire Tour sales expanded by 149.1 per cent to 7909 units in Q1FY16 compared to same quarter in previous financial year. The combined sales of Alto and WagonR mini category on yearly basis increased by only 2 per cent to 104801 units in Q1FY16.

Tata Motors

Total sales of Tata Motors increased by 6 per cent from 110004 vehicles in Q1FY15 to 116511 vehicles in Q1FY16. The company's passenger vehicles segment boosted by 29 per cent to 31649 units in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. However, Its commercial vehicles segment sales declined by 5 per cent to 71351 units in Q1FY16 compared to same quarter in previous financial year. Exports of Tata Motors increased by 32 per cent to 13511 vehicles in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. The company launched new cars like Zest, Bolt, and new GenX Nano and seen growth trend.

TVS Motors

TVS Motors sales grew by 9 per cent from 5.84 lakh units in Q1FY15 to 6.38 lakh units in Q1FY16 . The company's two wheeler segment sales increased by 9 per cent to 6.08 lakh vehicles in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. Its three wheeler segment sales boosted by 21 per cent to 0.30 lakh units in Q1FY16 compared to same period in previous financial year.

Mahindra and Mahindra

Total sales of Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) decreased by 3 per cent to 109567 vehicles in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. Total domestic sales declined by 5 per cent to 101118 units in Q1FY16 compared same quarter in previous fiscal. However, its export increased by 29 per cent to 8449 vehicles in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. M&M's MHCV segment sales increased by 32 per cent to 1007 vehicles in Q1FY16 compared to same quarter in previous fiscal. The company's tractor sales declined by 16 per cent from 74555 units Q1FY15 to 62358 units in Q1FY16. Meanwhile, Its tractor export increased by 22 per cent to 3208 units in Q1FY16 on yearly basis.

Eicher Motors

Total sales of Eicher Motors was boosted by 44 per cent from 138399 units in Q1FY15 to 199457 units in Q1FY16. The company exports increased by 37 per cent to 4625 units in Q1FY16 compared to same quarter in previous financial year. Its models with engine capacity upto 350cc showed aggressive growth with 45 per cent to 175753 units in Q1FY16 on yearly basis.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto (BAL) total sales increased by 4.13 per cent to 1489525 units in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. The company's export increased by 7.81 per cent to 476496 units in Q1FY16 compared to same quarter in previous fiscal. Its commercial vehicles segment boosted sales by 21.33 per cent from 113572 units in Q1FY15 to 137794 units in Q1FY16. BAL saw highest ever export in month of June 2015 with 16 per cent increment to 156074 units.

Ashok Leyland

Total sales of Ashok Leyland rose by 41 per cent from 19940 units in Q1FY15 to 28186 units in Q1FY16. The company's MHCV segment sales increased by 44 per cent to 21485 units in Q1FY16 on yearly basis. The LCV segment sales rose by 33 per cent to 6701 units in Q1FY16 compared to same quarter in previous fiscal.
