Volatile Day Ends In Positives, Yes Bank Up by 2.6%

The Indian markets saw volatile trading till the end of the day, when it finally managed to end on positive note. The Nifty moved up by 38 points to close at 8375 and Sensex was up by 104 points at 27563. Both the indices ended higher by 0.38-0.46 percent respectively. 

The advance-decline ratio ended positive for the day. On the NSE, 1658 shares closed in green, while 1179 shares were in the red.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Bosch closed the day up by 4.65% as the top gainer. HCL Tech, Yes Bank, Zee Entertainment and Infosys were among the others that ended higher.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: Tata Power ended as the top loser, down by 3.74%, followed by PNB, ITC, SBI and GAIL were among the other that ended lower.

10 out of the 13 sectors ended on a positive note. Capital Goods surges as much as 335 points and Auto moved up by 257 points. IT and Healthcare also gain 160 points and 84 points respectively. However Consumer Durables lost by 215 points. FMCG and Oil & Gas also closed in negative territory.

The Asian markets closed on a mixed note. Hang Seng was the top gainer, up by 115 points. The Nikkei ended lower by 25 points, and KOSPI, Taiwan Weighted also ended on a negative note. 

Buzzers: Yes Bank stocks witnessed massive up move after Q1 earning and closed above the major resistance level around Rs 815. Indicating more up move above this level.  

The Nifty managed to sustain above 8350 mark. We hope that it will see a recovery above this  level.
