Maruti Suzuki continues with its recalling spree
The recalling session of the country’s largest car – maker does not seem to be over yet. On Friday the company has again recalled its popular brand Baleno and Swift D-zire.
Earlier this year, company had recalled 3,796 units of mid-sized sedan Ciaz, manufactured till November 7, to replace a faulty part of clutch operation system.
The Baleno which has been recalled includes both petrol and diesel variants, which were manufactured between August 3, 2015 and May 17, 2016. 15,995 cars are Baleno diesel variants that were manufactured between August 3, 2015 and March 22, 2016 and will also be inspected and replaced. The recalled units also include17,231 cars which were allotted for export.
As far as Swift DZire is concerned, the company will only recall the recently launched diesel variant with Auto Gear Shift (AGS), which means customers with petrol and manual diesel variants will not be affected by this recall. As mentioned earlier, units will be recalled to replace faulty fuel filters. Earlier this month, the company had recalled 20,427 Units of S-Cross for faulty brake parts.
The shares of the company on Friday have closed at Rs 4141.35, up by 0.59 per cent. It could be interesting to see, how the shares perform in the opening session of Dalal street on Monday. Maruti Suzuki will start recalling vehicles from May 31, 2016.
