Bharti Infratel profitability boosts in Q1FY17
Bharti Infratel has declared its Q1FY17 results on Tuesday after market hours. Bharti Infratel’s total tower base stands at 89,352 with an average sharing factor of 2.20 as of Q1FY17. The company’s consolidated revenues have increased by 7 per cent to Rs 3211 crore in Q1FY17 on a yearly basis. Its EBITDA too has risen by 9 per cent to RS 1408 crore in Q1FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year. Bharti Infratel’s EBITDA margin has expanded by 80 basis points to 43.9 per cent in Q1FY17 on a yearly basis. The company’s net profit also has been boosted by 71 per cent to Rs 756 crore in Q1FY17 on a yearly basis. The company’s net profit margin has expanded considerably and stands at 23.6 per cent in Q1FY17 against 14.7 per cent in Q1FY16.
The share price of Bharti Infratel has increased by 1.93 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 366.1 on an intraday basis.
Bharti Infratel is engaged in providing tower and related infrastructure sharing services. The company has operations in around 22 telecommunication circles. It operates in approximately 37,196 towers. The company's service includes tower infrastructure solutions. The company's towers come in two varieties, which include ground-based (GBT) and roof-top (RTT) towers.
