ACC tumbles owing to weak profitability margins in Q3CY16

ACC has declared Q3CY16 results on Friday. The company’s top line has declined by 9.62 per cent to Rs 2522 crore in Q3CY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year. Its EBITDA too has decreased by 12.46 per cent to Rs 274 crore in Q3CY16 on a yearly basis. ACC’s EBITDA margin has contracted by 36 basis points to 10.86 per cent in Q3CY16 as compared to same period in previous fiscal. The company’s net profit has dropped by 28.85 per cent to Rs 81.97 crore in Q3CY16 on a yearly basis. Its net profit margin has contracted by 88 basis points to 3.25 per cent in Q3CY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year.

ACC's sales volume stands at 5.07 million tonnes in Q3CY16 against 5.61 million tonnes in Q3CY15. The company’s concrete sales volume stands at 0.62 million cubic metres in Q3CY16 while 0.59 million cubic metres in Q3CY15.

The share price of ACC has declined by 4.16 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 1547 on an intraday basis.
