Sterlite Technologies Ltd puts up stellar performance in Q3FY17.

Sterlite Technologies Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 during market hours today. 

The company's total sales for Q3FY17 at Rs 732 crore represent a 32.85 per cent sequential increase and 22.82 per cent YoY increase.

Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter amounted to Rs 84.58 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 11.55 per cent.

The company reported PAT of Rs 49 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 3.92 per cent and a YoY increase of 63.33 per cent.

The revenue contribution from international markets increased to Rs 284 crore in Q3FY17, up 74 per cent on YoY basis. The company saw 15 per cent QoQ growth in its order book, Its current order book (of Q3FY17) consist of 56 per cent order from services segment and 42 per cent from product segment.

Sterlite Technologies Ltd is an India-based manufacturer of power transmission and telecom products. The company operates in two business segments: power transmission and telecom products. The product portfolio of company includes optical fibre, fibre optical cables, structure data cables, OPGW cables, power conductors, telecom systems and solutions. 

The company's stock, which opened for trading at Rs 110.8 on the BSE, rose 2.97 per cent after the results were declared and is currently trading around the Rs 110.8-mark.
