Arun Jaitley to table Economic Survey 2017 in Parliament
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will table the Economic Survey 2017 on Tuesday in the Parliament, just a day before he presents his fourth Union Budget.
The Economy Survey, which would set the tone for presentation of Union Budget the next day, will suggest and draw conclusions about the state of economy and road ahead. Before the Finance Minister tables the Economic Survey, the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee will address both the houses of Parliament at 11 am.
Authored by Arvind Subramanian, the Economic Survey is an official report on the economy which is presented usually a day before Union Budget. The survey contains detailed report on the economy, talks about policy changes, etc. It would also give projections on the GDP and the reasoning behind its estimate.
Ahead of the Parliament's Budget Session, markets on Tuesday is trading with caution with benchmark indices trading flat with negative bias.
