Pharma underperforms on D-day

On the Budget day while everyone's eyes and ears are on the speech being delivered by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, S&P BSE Healthcare has lost 133.60 points, down about 0.90 per cent trading at 14667.02.

Meanwhile stocks like Poly Medicure Ltd, Cadila Healthcare Ltd, Opto Circuits Ltd, Lyka Labs, Hikal Ltd, Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company, Jubilant Lifesciences Ltd, Indoco Remedies Ltd, Syncom Formulaions India Ltd, Merck Ltd have gained .5 - 2 per cent , outperforming the above index. 

Overall, the healthcare index is underperforming the benchmark indices on Wednesday morning.
