Infosys gains lost ground after two days
After posting sharp losses in the wake of the upheaval caused at the senior management level, Infosys has rebounded in the morning hour on Tuesday. For the past two trading sessions, the percentage deliverable quantity to the traded quantity stood at 51.13% and 44.55%, respectively.
Infosys was the most active stock by value and attracted a total traded volume of 43,25,651 shares and traded value of Rs 383.24 crore as of 0942 hours. The stock opened with gains of 2.49% at Rs 895.2 per share on the NSE.
Meanwhile, three US law firms, namely, Bronstein, Gewirtz and Grossman; Pomerantz Law Firm; and Rosen Law Firm have initiated an investigation against Infosys amid concerns over whether the company’s directors were engaged in securities’ fraud or other unlawful business practices, as per media reports.
At this point, Nifty was trading at the 9,783 level, up by 29 points and Sensex was trading at the 31,293 level, up by 34 points. There were 791 advances, 686 declines, and 470 unchanged stocks on the NSE, reflecting mixed sentiments.
