Q4FY17 Results: Grasim Industries Ltd

Grasim Industries Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

The company's total sales for Q4FY17 came in at Rs 9996 crore, which represents a 16.21 per cent sequential increase and 5.72 per cent YoY increase.

Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter amounted to Rs 2121 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 21.22 per cent.

The company reported PAT of Rs 1063 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ increase of 11.66 per cent and a YoY increase of 0.76 per cent.

The company's stock opened at Rs 1138.50 on the BSE and closed at Rs 1121.30, a fall of 0.67 per cent.

The company's segments include viscose staple fibre and wood pulp; cement, which includes grey, white and allied products; chemicals, which include caustic soda and allied chemicals, and others, which includes textiles. Some of its products are viscose staple fibre, rayon grade pulp, grey cement, white cement and textiles.
