Cyient partners with Hitachi Rail for signalling project
Global engineering and technology solutions company, Cyient Limited, announced that it has partnered with Hitachi Rail in order to accelerate the evolution of signalling technology as well as expand & enhance the latter’s project execution capacity.
In a BSE filing released on Friday during the market hours, the company informed about the partnership and also said that as part of the agreement, the company will develop and operate a central delivery centre for Hitachi Rail in India and a regional centre in US.
Adding to this, the company stated that these centres will carry out engineering services such as application logic & hardware design, software configuration & verification for Hitachi’s global signalling projects as well as ATS products. Domain experience of Cyient Ltd combined with Hitachi’s vision and technical expertise will be used to ensure critical benefits to rail operators across the globe.
Cyient Ltd, formerly known as Infotech Enterprises Ltd, was established in 1991 and was rebranded as Cyient Ltd in 2014. The company is focussed on engineering, manufacturing, data analytics as well as in network and operations.
At the time of market closing on Friday, the stock of Cyient Ltd was trading at Rs 225.90, down by 2.92 per cent against its previous close of Rs 232.70. Its 52-week high was recorded at Rs 635.00 while, its 52-week low was Rs 205.00 on BSE.
