BSE StAR MF helps MF industry's net equity inflow remain positive for June 2020
BSE StAR MF contributed Rs 1882.39 crore as net equity inflow to industry's net inflow of Rs 241 crore.
BSE StAR MF had contributed Rs 56,038 crore as net equity inflow during FY19-20, which is 66 per cent of the entire MF industry net equity inflow which was 83781 crore for FY19-20. BSE StAR MF had previously contributed by 61 per cent in net equity inflow i.e Rs 3806 crore out of the entire MF industry’s total of Rs 6212 crore in April 2020.
The contribution of BSE StAR MF platform is sizable if we consider the fact that the without the June figures of BSE StAR MF platform from the overall performance, the asset management companies (AMCs) for the first time in history of the platform registered their net equity collection in negative. The platform was able to help AMCs, members and their clients in smooth paperless transactions despite the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent lockdown restrictions.
As for the month of May 2020, BSE StAR MF contributed a net equity inflow of Rs 3493 crore to the industry's net equity inflow of Rs 5257 crore.
