October 2020: Know more about stocks attracting fund managers

In the month of October 2020, the financials sector gained over other sectors to be on the top of the fund managers buying list followed by healthcare, technology and automobile & ancillaries sector.

So, if we look at the above table then we can see that in the month of October 2020, financials sector has come in the top five sector preference of the fund manager. The total approximate buying done in the financials sector is Rs 1,905 crores. From the financial sector, UTI Asset Management Company has made its way to the top five buying list with total approximate buying value of Rs 341.46 crores.

 

Further, if we look at the total sector-wise buying done in the month of October 2020 then financials sector has been on the top followed by healthcare, technology, automobile & ancillaries, and retail and other services sector with approximate buying of Rs 1,905.15 crores, Rs 1,607.43 crores, Rs 1,250.20 crores, Rs 753.23 crores and Rs 654.39 crores, respectively.

 

Looking at the total buying done in the month of October 2020 market cap-wise then large-cap is at the top followed by mid-cap and small-cap with approximate buying value of Rs 4,234.42 crores, Rs 2,927.33 crores and Rs 1,997.46 crores, respectively.

 

The intention of the above analysis is only for the purpose of understanding the activity of mutual funds and gauging the fund managers approach and it in no means is a recommendation to buy or sell.
