Buzzing stock: NMDC soars 9 per cent, makes new 52-week high
During Monday’s trading session, the stock of NMDC jumped more than 9 per cent and made an intraday high of Rs 201.90 per share. In the last one month, the stock of the company has risen by 50 per cent.
NMDC recorded very good performance in both production & sales during Q4FY21, as compared to Q4FY20.
The stock of NMDC has increased by 184 per cent from its decline in May 2020. The stock today hit a record high of Rs 201.90.
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 14.39 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.88.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 2,108.05 crore in Q3FY21. In Q3FY20, it had reported a net profit of Rs 1,374.97 crore, which is an increase of 53.32 per cent. The company reported net sales of Rs 4,355.10 crore for Q3FY21, an increase of 44.86 per cent, as against the net sales of Rs 3,006.38 crore for Q3FY20.
NMDC is engaged in the exploration & production of iron ore along with diamond, production & sale of sponge iron as well as the generation and sale of wind power.
At 12.25 pm today, the share of the company was trading at Rs 197.25 per share on BSE, up by 6.68 per cent.
