BSE Realty Index Zooms 2.84 percent; Indiabulls Real Estate Top Gainer, Jumps 5.74 per cent

Shares of Phoenix Ltd advanced by 2.17 per cent. Mahindra Lifespace Developers, Prestige and Sunteck  gained 1.69 per cent, 1.67 per cent and 1.48 per cent respectively. 

S&P BSE Realty Index zoomed by 2.84 per cent outperforming the frontline indices after recording gains of 77.94 points, while the Sensex rose by 0.75 per cent or 395.33 points to close at 52,880.

A rare occurrence, all stocks in the index ended the session in green. Indiabulls Real Estate was the top gainer of the index up by a whopping 5.74 per cent and ended the session at Rs 118.75 per share. It was followed by Godrej Properties climbing 3.88 per cent. DLF and Sobha soared by more than 3 per cent each and closed at Rs 293.75 per share and Rs 480.25 per share respectively.

Brigade and Oberoi Realty traded flat with a positive bias, gaining a mere 0.23 per cent and 0.09 percent to end at Rs 280.70 per share
and Rs 648.15 per share respectively.
