Last week was an exciting period for the markets as frontline index nifty crossed the mich coveted 16,000 levels and touched a high of 16,349.45. Indian capital are firing on all cylinders and showing no signs of weakness.
Several large-cap stocks outperformed the benchmark indices as well as the majority of the mid cap and small cap stocks. Incumbents such as HDFC and Kotak Bank climbed by approximately 7.5 per cent last week.
On the other hand, the BSE SmallCap Index lost ground and ended in the red territory at 26,805.97. Despite this, 20 small-cap stocks managed to jump more than 200 per cent in 2021 (year to date).
