Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Thursday

On Wednesday, headline domestic indices Nifty and Sensex ended on a flat note, down by 0.09 per cent and 0.13 per cent respectively. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices bucked the trend and gained 1.51 per cent and 1.19 per cent respectively, outperforming broader markets. From BSE Smallcap index VRL Logistics, Zee Entertainment, Nucleus Software and Gujarat Alkali were top gainers. While Neogen Chemicals, Shriram City Union Finance and Ahluwalia Contracts India were top losers. 

The following small-cap and mid-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday:  

Sterlite Technologies – The company has launched ‘Accellus’, its flagship solution for 5G-ready, open and programmable networks. This new product line elevates the company’s position as a disruptive solution provider for access and edge networks. Over the past 5 years, STL has been investing in research and development to expand its capabilities in converged networks based on optical fiber broadband and Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN). The company expects global adoption of this solution to accelerate at a rate of 250 per cent on a year-on-year basis, driving better Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for customers and gross margins for shareholders.  

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) – The company has introduced industry’s first Customer Experience Platform (CEP) enabling a complete digital experience for their enterprise customers and partners. CEP is an innovative medium to bring the product virtual self-experience closer to the customers, at their availability and comfort. CEP will serve as a one-stop digital guide for customers to better experience the company’s products and make speedy and informed decisions.  

Trejhara Solutions – The company has announced an order win from one of the largest logistics firms, having global presence, for the delivery and implementation of the product upgrade and technology support. The order value is approximately USD 3.5 Million and is spread over five years covering upgrade of the existing system to the latest technology, followed by the hosting, support and maintenance thereafter for a period of five years. The system will cover customer’s Asia wide operations.  

Ramkrishna Forgings – The company has has won a non-auto segment order worth Rs 65 crore for supply of mining and earthmoving components from an Indian arm of Hitachi. The order will be supplied in FY22 and FY23.

52-week High Stocks – Zee Entertainment Enterprises, VRL Logistics, Godrej Properties, Ami Organics, Astra Microwave Products and New Delhi Television have made fresh 52-week high today. These stocks will likely be in focus on Thursday, September 23 2021.
