Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on September 27

On Friday, among the benchmark indices, Sensex has delighted the market by surpassing the 60,000 mark for the first time. At the close of the trading session, Sensex was up by 163.11 points or 0.27 per cent at 60,048.47 levels, and the Nifty was up by 30.20 points or 0.17 per cent at 17,853.20 level. Meanwhile, in the broader markets, BSE Smallcap index ended 0.3 per cent lower and BSE Midcap index settled 1.16 per cent on the downside. Metal, FMCG, PSU Bank and Power indices faced a tough time on Friday whereas IT, Auto and Realty indices ended in green.

Following stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday:

Shilpa Medicare -The company via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shilpa Biologicals Pvt Ltd (SBPL), informed that it has inked a definitive agreement with Cadila Healthcare Ltd (CHL) for production-supply of the ZyCov-D vaccine drug substance from its integrated Biologics R&D cum Manufacturing centre at Dharwad, Karnataka. ZyCov-D is the first DNA plasmid vaccine in the world for human use developed indigenously by CHL against the Covid-19 virus. The stock is likely to be in focus on Monday.

Ramkrishna Forgings - The company informed that it has bagged an export order worth Rs 300 million (USD 4 million per annum) from North American customers in the oil & gas segment. The order is from one of the biggest OEM majors in Oil & Gas for pipe fitting parts in North America. It strengthens the company's penetration into this sector and is in line with its strategy to diversify its portfolio across sectors and geographies. Keep a watch on this stock on Monday.

NELCO - On Friday, the stock has locked in an upper circuit. It ended the trading session at Rs 592.50 per share with a gain of 5 per cent. In the last 15 trading sessions, the stock bounced back from the resistance level once and now is on the verge of breaking the resistance level for the second time. Keep a close watch on this stock for further trading sessions.

Oberoi Realty - On Friday, the stock has outperformed the BSE Midcap index by zooming 10.15 per cent at the end of the trading session. For four consecutive trading sessions, the stock has formed green candles on the chart, with the last two trading sessions witnessing long green candles with a significant spurt in volumes. The stock has also broken its current resistance level and is likely to be in focus on Monday.

52-week high stocks - Within the shining Sensex today, the stocks of Asian Paints, Bajaj Finserv, Bharati Airtel, HCL Technologies, IndusInd Bank, Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Industries and Tech Mahindra have hit their 52-week high prices. They are likely to be on the watchlist for Monday.
