Cyient JV wins order from Indian Army
Cyient's joint venture with BlueBird Aero Systems, Israel has received a supply order from the Indian armed force for high altitude aerial surveillance UAV. This is the company's first order from the Indian Army.
The JV's mini Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Spylite Mini UAS is capable of conducting real-time surveillance and target acquisition as per end-user requirements at very high altitudes as well as in extreme climates. Spylite can carry high-end payloads to give high quality day and night video surveillance.
Cyient Solutions and Systems Private Limited, is a joint venture between the India-listed company Cyient Limited and BlueBird Aero Systems. The company provides UAS-based intelligence gathering and surveillance systems for defence and civilian applications.
At 14:50 hours, the stock of Cyient Limited was quoting Rs. 733.50 per share, down by 0.43 per cent on Tuesday. While the benchmark index BSE Sensex was at 38,163.67, down by 148.85 points or 0.39 per cent.
