PVR opens 7 screen multiplex in Hyderabad
PVR Cinemas which is the largest film exhibition company in India has announced the launch of its seventh multiplex in Hyderabad, at Next Galleria Mall in Irrum Manzil, Telangana. This multiplex consists of seven screens. With this launch, the total count of PVR stands at 41 screens at 7 properties in Hyderabad and 52 screens at 9 properties in Telangana.
The new multiplex is spread across an area of 42,461 sq.ft. having seating capacity of 1,182. It is well-equipped with BARCO 2K projection system, which provides superb brightness and vibrant colors ensuring a razor-sharp picture quality along with Dolby 7.1 surround sound system and the Next-Gen 3D technology.
The new property is expected to witness the launch of city’s first 4DX theatre soon.
The company has a vision to take the count of screens to 1,000 by 2020. Currently, post this new launch, the total screen count of PVR Cinemas across India stands at 741 screens at 159 properties in 63 cities.
On Friday, the stock of PVR Cinemas opened at Rs. 1,450.55 per share. It was up by 1.03 per cent and made an intra-day high of Rs. 1,465.50. It closed at Rs 1438.50. In the past one month, the stock price has surged by 8.5 per cent.
