Alkem Labs considers final dividend of Rs. 8
The Board of Directors of Alkem Laboratories recommended a final dividend of Rs. 8 per equity share for the financial year ended March, 2019. Reacting to this announcement, the stock of Alkem Laboratories was up more than 3 per cent on Thursday.
The record date for the purpose of payment of a final dividend has been fixed as August 20, 2019.
For the quarter ended March 2019, the company’s total revenue from operations rose to Rs. 1,854.20 crore from Rs. 1,491.98 crore in Q4FY18, posting a growth of 24.28 per cent, on a consolidated basis. EBITDA surged 128.08 per cent to Rs. 235.01 crore in Q4FY19 from Rs. 103.04 crore in Q4FY18. Net profit showcased a growth of 157.05 per cent to Rs. 170.50 crore in Q4FY19 from Rs. 66.33 crore in Q4FY18. EPS soared to Rs. 14 in Q4FY19 from Rs. 5.61 in Q4FY18, thereby rising 149.55 per cent.
On Thursday, the shares of Alkem Laboratories opened at Rs. 1,727.05, and hit a high and low of Rs. 1,798.00 and Rs. 1,721.55, respectively. At 2:59 pm, the stock was trading at Rs. 1,781.00, up 3.24 per cent.
