Bharat Dynamics bags a huge contract
State-owned defence manufacturer Bharat Dynamics Limited gets a contract of Rs. 1,187.82 crore to supply heavyweight torpedoes. This contract is planned to be executed in the next 42 months.
Founded in Hyderabad, Telangana, Bharat Dynamics Limited is an Indian manufacturer of ammunition, missile systems, underwater weapons, countermeasures and other defence equipment. The company is a mid-cap company having a market cap of Rs. 5,363.73 crore. The company plans to open two new units in Ibrahimpatnam, Telangana and Amravati, Maharashtra soon.
For Q4FY19, the company reported total revenue of Rs. 87,699.02. The net profit for the same quarter of FY19 is Rs. 12,412.83.
On Tuesday, at closing the stock of Bharat Dynamics Limited was Rs. 292.65 which is an increase of 2.38 per cent or Rs. 6.80 than the closing price of the previous day. The 52-week high of the company is Rs. 407.50 and 52-week low is Rs. 224. The day’s high was recorded at Rs. 304.85.
