Va Tech Wabag bags order worth Rs. 1,477 crore

Va Tech Wabag has secured an order worth Rs 1,477 crore from State Mission for Clean Ganga - Uttar Pradesh. Shares of the company, however, fell 2 per cent during closing hours.

The order is for operation, maintenance and management of the Sewage treatment and network infrastructure in the cities of Agra and Ghaziabad for a period of 10 years, expandable for an additional period of 5 years. As per the contract, the company will manage, operate and maintain 22 Sewage Treatment Plants, 22 Pumping Stations and underground network of over 3,000 km with the objective of providing round the clock uninterrupted operations. The company shall also improve, rehabilitate and up-grade facilities related to systems, structures and equipment etc. associated with the Sewage Treatment Plants and underground collection systems.

VA Tech Wabag is an India-based company engaged in the business of water treatment field. The company's principal activities include design, supply, installation, construction and operational management of drinking water, wastewater treatment, industrial water treatment and desalination plants.

On Tuesday, the shares of VA Tech Wabag opened at Rs. 317.15 against Monday’s close of Rs.314.60. At 15:27 hours, the stock was trading at Rs. 305.30, 2.96 per cent lower than the previous close. Its intraday high was Rs.317.15 and intraday low was Rs. 290 per share on the BSE. The 52-week high stood at Rs. 421.20 and 52-week low was at Rs 243.45 per share on the BSE.
