NMDC reports 28 per cent rise in sales volumes for H1CY19
Government of owned iron ore producer, NMDC Limited published its production and sales data for the month of June. The production for June month was down due to less output from Chhattisgarh mines.
The company has reported 8.46 million ton (MT) of iron ore production along with sales volume of 8.73 MT for the first half of CY2019 ended June 30. This iron ore production increased by 21 per cent compared with production for the first half of 2018. The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 6.11 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 6.60 MT, while Karnataka mines produced 2.35 MT of iron ore and sold 2.13 MT of iron ore up to June 2019.
The price realisation remained the same for July month. The Lump Ore (65.53, 6-40mm) and Fines (643, - 1 Omm) from 29 June are fixed at Rs. 3, 100 per ton and Rs. 2,860 per ton, respectively. The realisation trend continued for the second consecutive month after rising in April.
NMDC is a Government of India enterprise engaged in exploration minerals such as iron ore, copper, etc. At 12.30 hours on Thursday, the stock of NMDC was at Rs. 114.20 per share, marginally lower by 0.40 per cent on BSE.
