Ramco Cements zooms on posting resilient Q2 numbers
Ramco Cements has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2019. The shares of the company gained over 6 per cent intraday on Wednesday owing to result announcement.
The company has posted 46.89 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 168.15 crore for Q2FY20 as compared to Rs 114.47 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 11.47 per cent at Rs 1,325.88 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 1,189.45 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 43.18 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 172.26 crore for the Q2 period as against Rs 120.31 crore posted for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 11.32 per cent at Rs 1,332.08 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 1,196.67 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
The shares of Ramco Cements on Wednesday opened at Rs. 544 as against previous close of Rs 750.56 per share on the BSE. At closing hours the stock was trading at Rs 772, gaining 2.84 per cent. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 795.20 and intraday low was Rs. 748. Its 52-week high was Rs. 845.10 and 52-week low was Rs. 553.55 per share on the BSE.
