Thomas Cook senses strong market for holiday business in Gujarat; all set to operate in Gandhinagar

Thomas Cook (India) Ltd informed on Tuesday that it has inaugurated new gold circle partner franchise outlet in Gandhinagar (Gujarat). 

The opening of this new outlet augments the distribution and reach of Thomas Cook to 10 consumer access centres which contain six owned branches and four gold circle partner (franchise) outlets across Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot, Surat, Jamnagar, and Gandhinagar. The company is of the view that 71 per cent of respondents require the guidance of a holiday expert and prefer to personally visit their offices whereas, 84 per cent incline a strong preference to reputed tour companies and travel brands. To cater to the high potential Gujarat market, the company opened a franchise outlet in Gandhinagar. 

According to Thomas Cook's studies, an average Gujarati spends 1.5 lakh per person for an international vacation and an average of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 per person on a domestic holiday. The gold circle partner outlet offers the customers end-to-end travel solutions along with a bunch of travel and travel-related financial services, which includes international as well as domestic holidays. 

Headquartered in Mumbai, Thomas Cook (India) Limited offers foreign exchange, corporate travel, insurance, visa & passport services, gift cards, hotel bookings, flight ticket bookings, tour packages and electronic business along with other travel & travel related services. 

Thomas Cook's share was trading at Rs 44.20 during the first half of Wednesday’s session, which is 0.34 per cent down on BSE.
