BRNL inks pact with CDPQ for 67 km Odisha road project sale; stock rises over 2 per cent

Bharat Road Network Limited (BRNL) has signed an agreement with India Highway Concession Trust, an infrastructure investment trust set up by Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec (CDPQ), a global institutional investor, for the sale of a road project in the state of Odisha. Bharat Road Network is the largest shareholder, with a 40 per cent stake in this project.

Sensex journey to 50,000 has been clearly an impressive one with several stocks contributing to its gains. When it comes to market cap addition, the clear winner is TCS, followed by HDFC Twins, ICICI Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. These stocks contributed the most to the market capitalisation when Sensex moved from 40,000 to 50,000.

Nifty has rallied nearly 95 per cent from the lows of March. With this, the index is currently trading up by 29 per cent from the long-term moving average i.e. 200-DMA, and nearly 8 per cent up from the 50-DMA. This indicates that the price is trading too far away from its mean.

The stocks of Tanla Platforms Limited were trading up by 4 per cent on Wednesday after the company announced that it has collaborated with Microsoft to launch ‘Wisely’, a blockchain-enabled communication platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) offering built-on Microsoft Azure.
