Nifty trend for Friday

Karan DSIJ / Article rating: 4.4

A strong comeback by the bulls without a follow through on the downside to the bearish engulfing pattern is hinting that the index may be sketching out a new trading range between the levels of 12,780-13,145.

December series to start on a tepid note; GDP may witness 10 per cent contraction, to be eyed by market participants

Karan DSIJ / Article rating: 5.0

Bulls to regroup after sharp fall; be on your guard on expiry day as volatility likely to rule the roost

Karan DSIJ / Article rating: 4.7

Indian markets witnessed a fierce sell-off on Wednesday. As a result, Nifty formed a bearish engulfing pattern on the daily chart. Further, India VIX jumped nearly 10 per cent and closed above the 23 mark. A sharp fall with rising VIX is definitely not a pleasing sign for the bulls.

Nifty trend for Thursday

Karan DSIJ / Article rating: 5.0

Immediate support for the index is placed at 12,820 and breach of this would open gates for a further correction towards 12,700 levels. On the upside, the level of 12,940-12,970 is likely to act as a stiff resistance.
