Nifty traded weak throughout the day but somehow it recovered 66 points from day’s low in the afternoon session. Nifty closed 104 points below the closing level of last trading session at 18,181 level. S&P BSE Sensex also dropped more than 370 points lower at 62,560 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 outperformed benchmark index as it closed 0.09 per cent lower and 0.5 per cent higher respectively.

Nifty traded strong for the day after the gap down opening and in the  afternoon session it witnessed some profit booking as well. Nifty closed 84 points higher above the closing level of last trading session at 18,398 level. S&P BSE Sensex also lost gains from the day’s high and managed to close 297 points higher at 62,345 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 closed stronger, 0.75 per cent and 0.5 per cent respectively.

Today markets witnessed selling pressure in its initial hours and then it recovered from day’s low strongly to close around the day’s high. Nifty closed 17 points higher above the closing level of last trading session at 18,314 level. S&P BSE Sensex closed 123 points higher at 62,027.90 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 witnessed profit booking on higher levels. It closed 0.40 per cent and 0.75 per cent lower.

Today markets opened gap up and lost all strength to close around the day’s low. Nifty closed 18 points lower below the closing level of last trading session at 18,297 level. S&P BSE Sensex also closed nearly flat, 35 points lower at 61,904 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 witnessed profit booking on higher levels but somehow it managed to close 0.3 per cent and 0.5 per cent higher.

After the selling pressure of initial hours, Nifty recovered 100 points from day’s low and closed around the opening level at 18,315. S&P BSE Sensex closed 178 points higher at 61,940 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 also recovered from day’s low and closed nearly flat.

Nifty rose 195 points to close 1 per cent higher at 18,264 level.  S&P BSE Sensex jumped more than 700 points and closed at 61,764 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 also participated in the rally and closed around 1.02 per cent and 0.94 per cent higher respectively.

Nifty cracked 186 points to close 1 per cent lower at 18,069 level.  S&P BSE Sensex dropped more than 700 points and closed at 61,054 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 also traded weak for the day to close around 0.70 per cent and 0.82 per cent lower respectively.

The strong results of index heavy weight stocks like HDFC, Adani enterprises triggered short covering. S&P BSE Sensex jumped 555 points and closed at 61,749 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 traded strong for the day to close around 0.58 per cent and 0.79 per cent higher respectively.

Nifty witnessed a volatile session, after gap down opening panic selling pressure has been seen. However, it recovered more than 50 points from day's low in closing session to close 0.32 per cent lower at 18,089.85 level. S&P BSE Sensex also dropped 161 points and closed at 61,193 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 traded strong and outperformed the benchmark indices for the day to close around 0.26 per cent higher and 0.07 per cent nearly flat respectively.
