The Indian markets extended their nosedive further on Friday amid weak global cues and broad-based selloff across sectoral indices. Banking and Consumer Durables stocks weighed the most on pushing benchmarks Sensex and Nifty 50 off the cliff, while Pharma and IT stocks also contributed to the downside substantially. Today the FII net selloff was recorded at Rs -4,679.84 crore and DII Inflow Rs 769.26 crore was recorded.  

The Indian indices slipped further down into red territory in Thursday's trading session. Today the FII net selloff was recorded at Rs 2,704.77 crore and DII outflow of Rs 195.07 crore was recorded. Markets witnessed a sharp selloff during the major part of the trade, as across the board profit booking weighed in. 

Given the fact that the broader market outperformed the headline index, there were as many as 29 stocks that jumped more than double in the month of December itself.
