Matrimony.com files DRHP for IPO

Matchmaking and marriage services provider Matrimony.com has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The company’s IPO consists of a fresh issue aggregating up to Rs 130 crore and an offer for sale of up to 3767254 equity shares. The equity shares will have a face value of Rs 5 each.  The issue will be on book-building basis and the price band to be decided later.

Matrimony.com will utilise proceedings from IPO proceeds for advertising and business promotion activities, for purchase of land for construction of office premises in Chennai, repayment of overdraft facilities and for general corporate purposes.

Axis Capital and ICICI Securities are the book running lead managers to the issue and Karvy Computershare is the Registrar.
