Q4FY17 Results: Asian Paints Ltd

Asian Paints Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 on Thursday.

The company's total sales for Q4FY17 came in at Rs 3952.45 crore, which represents a 0.39 per cent sequential increase and 7.79 per cent YoY increase.

Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter amounted to Rs 711.87 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 18.01 per cent.

The company reported PAT of Rs 479.61 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 1.98 per cent and a YoY increase of 10.14 per cent.

The board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 5.65 per equity share on face value of Rs 1 each. The board has also recommended onetime special dividend of Rs 2 per equity share as celebration of 75 years at Asian Paints.

The stock opened at Rs 1157.65 and touched an intra-day high of Rs 1178.95 and finally closed at Rs 1167.8 on the BSE.
