Vedanta Ltd. :Q4FY17 Results

Vedanta Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 today. 

The company's total sales for Q4FY17 came in at Rs 22511 crore, which represents a 15.94 per cent sequential increase and 41.48 per cent YoY increase.

Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter amounted to Rs 5746 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 25.53 per cent.

The company reported PAT of Rs. 2796 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 11.18 per cent and a YoY decline of 80.95 per cent.

The company's stock opened at Rs 238.90 on the BSE, rose by 1.78 per cent to close at Rs 240.

Vedanta Ltd is an Indian company that produces and exports iron ore. The company is engaged in the business of exploration, mining and processing of iron ore. The company's operations are organized into iron ore division, metallurgical coke division, pig iron division and technology business. Its mining operations are carried out in the states of Goa and Karnataka.
