Q4FY17 result : Sequent Scientific

Sequent Scientific Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 today.

The company's total sales for Q4FY17 came in at Rs 249.95 crore, which represents a 3.32 per cent sequential decline and 65.4 per cent YoY increase.

Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter amounted to Rs 21.18 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 8.47 per cent.

The company reported PAT of Rs 10.49 crore, as against the net loss of Rs 10.57 crore in the last quarter of same year.
 
During FY17, the company witnessed sharp rise of 48.4 per cent YoY in revenue to reach Rs 899.7 crore. Also, EBITDA during the same period surged 59.7 per cent YoY to Rs 88.1 crore. However, the company posted a net loss of Rs 16.4 crore during FY17.

The company's stock opened at Rs 118.5 on the BSE and rose around 15 per cent after the results were declared to touch day's high of Rs 136.3. However, at the close of the market, the stock corrected and closed at Rs 123.9, up by 4.7 per cent.
