GAIL to give ‘Pankh’ to startups
In order to identify and promote innovative ventures, GAIL (INDIA) has launched a start-up initiative titled ‘Pankh’. Announcing this on Tuesday, the company stated the project will support the objective of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship among Indians.
To take it ahead, the company has created a corpus of Rs 50 crore for investing in startups. The initiative will also include mentoring the startups in the primary areas of the company, i.e. natural gas and its derivatives. Potential candidates can submit their proposals through a startup web portal which can be accessed via the GAIL INDIA website. The offer will remain open till August 16, 2017.
