Q3FY17 Results : Jindal Steel & Power Ltd posts impressive quarterly result

Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, today.

The company reported total sales of Rs 5407.87 crore for Q3FY17, which represents a 15.91 per cent sequential increase and 24.72 per cent YoY increase.

Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter came in at Rs 249.3 crore with its EBIT margin at 4.61 per cent.

The company reported net loss of Rs. 407.44 crore, as compared to net loss of Rs. 745.95 in last quarter of the current financial year.

The company’s consolidated crude steel production stood at 1.15 million tonnes and its steel sales for the quarter stood at 1.16 million tonnes.
