Infosys and Anthropic have announced a strategic collaboration designed to deliver advanced enterprise AI solutions across heavily regulated sectors, including telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing and software development. The partnership kicks off with the establishment of a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence specifically for the telecommunications industry. By combining Infosys Topaz with Anthropic’s Claude models, the initiative aims to help organisations automate complex workflows and adopt AI with the high levels of governance and transparency required for compliance-heavy environments.

A primary pillar of this collaboration is the shift toward agentic AI, moving beyond simple chat interfaces to systems capable of executing multi-step tasks independently. Utilising the Claude Agent SDK, the two companies will build AI agents designed to manage persistent processes such as claims processing, compliance reviews and legacy system modernisation. This approach is intended to reimagine enterprise operating models, focusing on long-term transformational value and engineering scale rather than just incremental efficiency gains.

The practical application of these technologies will be tailored to the unique demands of each industry. In telecommunications, AI agents will modernise network operations and customer lifecycle management, while in financial services, the focus shifts to rapid risk assessment and automated compliance reporting. For manufacturing, Claude will be used to accelerate R&D by streamlining Service design and simulation, allowing engineers to iterate faster before moving to the production phase.

Software development will see a significant boost through the integration of Claude Code, which assists developers in writing, testing and debugging code at an accelerated pace. Infosys is already implementing Claude Code within its own Exponential Engineering organisation to refine best practices before rolling them out to clients. This internal deployment ensures that the joint solutions are grounded in real-world engineering experience, helping global enterprises move from design to production with greater speed and reliability.
