On Thursday, Indian equity markets ended on a negative note. Nifty50 closed at 17,511.25, down by 0.25 per cent, while Mid-Cap index performed negatively on broader markets and Small-Cap index closed with a marginal gain of 16 points.

The following penny stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, February 23, 2023:   

Universal Office Automation- Heavy buying interest was witnessed in the counter as the scrip surged more than 9 per cent, recording an intraday high of Rs 4.27 per share on BSE. Universal Office Automation is engaged in the business of selling of office automation products and their after-sales service.   

Oriental Trimex- A solid price volume break-out was seen at the counter today as the stock zoomed more than 16 per cent upper circuit to hit an intra-day high of Rs 7.70 per share on NSE. Oriental Trimex Ltd is engaged in the business of trading and processing of marble and mining of granite. 

Binani Industries - A solid price volume break-out was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 11.44 per share. Binani Industries is engaged in the business of media, publication services, trading in shares and securities.
