The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Monday with the Sensex down 0.09 per cent at 81,374 and the Nifty-50 down 0.14 per cent at 24,717. About 2,128 shares have advanced, 1,992 shares have declined and 167 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.58 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.36 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Yes Bank, Ola Electric Mobility Ltd and Bank of Maharashtra. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd, Fairchem Organics Ltd and GE Power India Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE Services Index and BSE Realty Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Metals Index and BSE Focused IT Index were the Top Losers.
As of June 02 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 446 lakh crore or USD 5.21 trillion. On the same day, 122 stocks hit a 52-week high while 48 stocks touched a 52-week low.
