Indigo to start flights on 2 new routes

InterGlobe Aviation announced that its passenger airline IndiGo is set to begin operations on the Delhi-Riyadh and Delhi-Kuwait routes.

The company said that operations in these routes are likely to begin from October 11, making Riyadh its 22nd international destination. The airline already has direct flights on the Mumbai-Kuwait route. The airline operates daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Jeddah; and with the new route operations, the company is extending direct connectivity to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. IndiGo is currently the largest airline in India, with around 47 per cent share of the domestic passenger market. 

InterGlobe Aviation provides air transportation services in India and internationally. The company primarily operates IndiGo passenger airline. It had posted stellar financials for the quarter ended June 2019. Currently, the stock of the company is 97 per cent close to its 52-week high of Rs. 1716 on BSE.

The shares of Indigo on Friday had opened at Rs. 1660.35 against Thursday’s close of Rs. 1656.50. At closing hours, it was trading at Rs. 1689.95, gaining 2.02 per cent above its previous close. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1696.45 and intraday low was Rs. 1651.80. Its 52-week low was Rs. 697 per share on the BSE.
