Shares of Lime Chemicals slumped 4.87 per cent to Rs. 21.50 hitting the lower circuit on Wednesday after the company suspended the operations at Roha factory.

Lime Chemicals has suspended manufacturing activity at Roha Factory, Raigad District, Maharashtra, due to the re-organization of business activities. The company has informed that they continue to operate and meet the production requirement from its other manufacturing facilities at Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh and Vadodara, Gujarat.

Lime Chemicals is engaged in the production of precipitated calcium carbonate and it has varied applications in diverse industries like toothpaste, PVC, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, rubber formulations, paints, printing ink, cables, etc.

The shares of the company on Wednesday opened at Rs. 21.50 against Tuesday’s close of Rs. 22.60. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 23.65. Its 52-week high was Rs. 94.30 and 52-week low was Rs. 21.15 per share on the BSE.
