L&T Construction emerges at the forefront in terms of burgeoning order pipeline yet again as it secures several orders from clients of substantial repute across different states of India.

Smart World and Communication (SWC) business segment received an order as a Master System Integrator (MSI) to implement pan-city ICT solution. The company will design and construct a City Operations Centre (COC) for the city of Tirupati. This order was received from Tirupati Smart City Corporation Limited.

The scope of this project includes installing CCTV cameras, variable message signage, PA & ECB systems, and environmental sensors at smart bus stops; smart spots and elevated smart solutions locations across the city. The project also involves the construction of an iconic smart city operations centre building which is equipped with state-of-the-art solutions.

Furthermore, the company has ventured into a new business line involving e-shiksha. As such, it has landed a project through which it will supply, install, test, commission and maintain hi-tech computer labs and internet leased line connectivity for government schools in Tamil Nadu. The company won this order from Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation. The project also involves the setting up of a Centralized Control Centre (CCC) to centrally monitor, provision and manage IT components of schools with a helpdesk facility.

In addition, the business also bagged an add-on order from the Home Department of the Government of Maharashtra. The scope of work includes the expansion of CCTV-based Mumbai city surveillance system.

The Power Transmission and Distribution business segment secured EPC orders both in India as well as abroad. In Jharkhand, an order has been secured for the design and construction of a 220kV Gas Insulated Substation and its associated transmission lines and cables to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the Ranchi Smart City. On the international front, an order has been secured for the construction, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 132/11kV Substation and associated works in the United Arab Emirates.

The Buildings and Factories business landed a major project from a top Indian energy company for the construction of transit storage yard, material receiving and dispatch centre facility in Andhra Pradesh. The project is to be completed within a stringent timeline of 24 months.

On Thursday, the shares of L&T opened at Rs. 1,368.00 and hit a high and low of Rs. 1,376.80 and Rs. 1,365.00 per share, respectively. At 12:30 am, the stock was trading at Rs. 1367.75 on BSE.
