These stocks from S&P BSE 250 SmallCap space were trading in the green after strong demand from buyers.

The benchmark index S&P BSE 250 SmallCap Index opened at 3,766.51 and made its day high at 3,776.54, and it is currently trading marginally down by around 0.02 per cent.    

From the same space, these are the top 3 companies that outperformed the benchmark index and were up by more than 5 per cent today.     

Shares of Angel One Limited were trading up by more than 8 per cent on BSE today. The scrip closed on Wednesday at Rs 1,003.00 and opened on Thursday at Rs 1,012.70 a piece. Shares touched their day high today at Rs 1,095.00 after the surge. The 52-week high of the stock stood at Rs 2,022.00, whereas the 52-week low is Rs 1,000.00. Presently, the promoters are holding a 43.68 per cent stake in the company and the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 26.52 per cent and 29.80 per cent, respectively.     

Another top player today is NBCC (India) Limited. Shares were trading up by more than 5.5 per cent on BSE during the day. The stock opened at Rs 33.85 a piece and touched its day high today at Rs 36.61. The 52-week high of NBCC (India) Limited is at Rs 43.80, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 26.70. The promoters are holding around 61.75 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 14.26 per cent and 24 per cent, respectively.     

One more top gainer today which shot up by 5.3 per cent is Great Eastern Shipping Co Limited. The stock opened at Rs 564 and touched its day high at Rs 612. On Wednesday, the shares closed at Rs 568.60 a piece. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 748.45, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 304. Currently, the promoters are holding about 30.08 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 42.21 per cent and 27.71 per cent, respectively.
