Market closes in red, but these 3 small-cap stocks gain over 5 per cent!

These stocks from S&P BSE 250 SmallCap space were trading in the green after strong demand from buyers.

The benchmark index S&P BSE 250 SmallCap Index opened at 3,703.59 and made its day high at 3,723.67 and it is currently trading in green with an up move by more than 0.30 per cent.    

 From the same space, these are the top 3 companies that outperformed the benchmark index and were up by more than 5 per cent today.     

Shares of Elgi Equipment Limited were trading up by more than 9 per cent on BSE today. The scrip closed on Monday at Rs 430 and opened on Tuesday at Rs 432 apiece. Shares touched their day high today at Rs 474.25 after the surge. The 52-week high of the stock stood at Rs 566.50, whereas the 52-week low is Rs 248.85. Presently, the promoters are holding a 31.19 per cent stake in the company and the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 34.02 per cent and 34.77 per cent, respectively.     

Another top player today is UFLEX Limited. Shares were trading up by more than 7 per cent on BSE during the day. The stock opened at Rs 352.05 a piece and touched its day high today at Rs 388.15. The 52-week high of UFLEX Limited is at Rs 811.05, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 347.15. The promoters are holding around 44.58 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 8.59 per cent and 46.84 per cent, respectively.     

One more top gainer today which shot up by 6.5 per cent is Triveni Turbine Limited. The stock opened at Rs 303.95 and touched its 52-week high today at Rs 329.95. On Monday, the shares closed at Rs 300.55 a piece. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 329.95, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 146.90. Currently, the promoters are holding about 55.94 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 38.69 per cent and 5.38 per cent, respectively.
