Opening bell: Indices trade in green following global cues

Following the Asian cues, the Indian market is trading higher on Wednesday.

BSE consumer durables and Realty sectors are up by 1.19 per cent and 1.52 per cent, respectively. Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG sector is only red down by 0.11 per cent. The investors monitored oil prices which have reduced and continued to assess Wall Street which recovered on Tuesday. The Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 384.48 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) purchase was seen of Rs 602.05 crore in the Indian equity market on March 22. 

The BSE Sensex is jumped by 312 points and is trading at 58,301.43. The BSE MidCap has moved up by 190 points and is trading at 23,891.42, while SmallCap has also climbed by 241 points and is trading at 28,074.69 levels. The stocks trading in the green on the BSE Sensex are Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Bajaj Finance, SBI Life Insurance, Induslnd Bank, and Titan. 

The Nifty 50 index also opened in green on the third consecutive day, up by 56 points and is now trading at 17,372.10 levels. The Bank Nifty is also amplified by 344 points and is trading at 36,692.60 levels. The gainers on Nifty 50 are Hindalco Industries, Induslnd Bank, SBI Life Insurance, and Dr Reddy's Laboratories. 

Out of 2,799 stocks traded, the numbers of stocks advanced are 1,939 and 759 stocks have declined in the morning session. 153 stocks are locked up in the upper circuit and 106 stocks are locked in the lower circuit today. There are 70 stocks that are trading at a 52-week high and there are 8 stocks that are trading at a 52-week low.
