Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep an eye on March 21!

Watch out for these large-cap stocks in Tuesday’s trading session!

Indian benchmark indices fell sharply in the opening trades of the session, mirroring global market weakness. Despite indices partially recovering later, all sectors except BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods were trading lower. Metal and commodity stocks bore the brunt of the damage. The BSE Sensex tumbled 0.62 per cent to 57,628 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index declined 0.65 per cent to a level of 16,988. 

Watch out for these Large-Cap stocks in Tuesday’s trading session - 

Hindustan Unilever - Being the top Sensex gainer, shares of the company soared 2.54 per cent with a spurt in volume, surprising investors despite weak market sentiments. Gains in the fast-moving consumer goods sector were led by LT Foods Ltd and BCL Industries. 

Hindalco Industries - Shares of the company declined further today, closing the session 2.79 per cent lower, significantly dragging down the BSE Metals index. Over the past year, shares of Hindalco Industries have fallen more than 34 per cent. 

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd - The company allotted 93,561 unsecured, listed, rated, non-cumulative, redeemable, taxable, non-convertible debentures of face value of Rs 1 lakh each at par aggregating to a total issue size of Rs 935,61,00,000 (Rupees Nine Hundred and Thirty Five Crore and Sixty One Lakh) on a private placement basis. Shares ended the session 2.30 per cent higher.
